PRESIDENTS REPORT - George said the first thing we have to start with is an apology.
Willie Cannon was so busy slagging me off and everyone else that he forgot two people in his vote of thanks.
The first was my mother for choosing and buying the prizes.
The second was James Baird for organising and looking after the engraving of nineteen trophies on show at the prize giving
not an easy task but James makes it look easy.
George thought it should be the year of the "Auld Yin's" with Alan Drummie beating John Strang in the final of the singles.
Tom Neilson winning the Pairs and the winning team at Kinross of Archie, Tom and Jean carrying Colette to victory.
Not to mention Tommy Campbell winning the Points.

This will not last as there is some outstanding young talent coming through.
Helen King's performance in the Juniors was great,
Alison Leiper winning the Ladies Points.
My daughter Mhairi winning the Golden Shot at Braehead on Saturday,
Carolyn Baird highest up Lady in the Main Points beating Scottish Senior Champions like Marion Craig and Helen Drummond.
John King you better look out Craig Lambie won the best sweeper in the Saturday Morning for the juniors.
So it's looking great for the future.
There were lots of good performances in between those two ages,
these people think they're young, but they're not they're" Willie Cannon's age".

Ladies Section by all reports is doing very well with lots of new members. So well done to the Ladies Committee.
The down side is more husbands are left to fend for themselves on a Wednesday lunch time
scraping a few bits of stale bread and cheese, getting told you can grill it if you like.

George went on to say the biggest disappointment this year had to be the Grand Match that didn't happen.
He thought the club should be better organised for a local outdoor event in the future if the opportunity arises.
Even if it meant challenging Heather for a game.
In inter club games we had a great year, the best being the manner in which we won against the Heather,
we will have to be even better next year to beat them, as they strengthen their rinks for revenge.
The poorest performance was the Galston game with an under strength Galston beating us at Hamilton.
All inter club games were played in a competitive way but with a lot of fun and slagging from all sides,
which is what these games are all about.
I would like to thank all members who had taken part and all the subs who stepped in at the last minute,
I better do this as Willie will likely forget.

The biggest success in the club this year has to be the web site.
The work Alan has put in to this has been fantastic,
this has been helped by all the talented people in the club
who have sent in poems, stories, pictures and reports which have been amazing.
Best of which has to be from Willie Cannon, the sheer volume of rubbish this guy can write is mind boggling
and the speed it came through he must be up all night, but people like it.
They don't just log in from our club, but from all over the country and further.
This rubbish should not put anyone off from sending in their own story, especially if it's competitions outside the club,
this web site is the envy of most clubs and shows we are keeping up with the times,
this continuing with Alan setting up a card on the web for next year's curling
and I would urge all those who can, to use it.

The Dinner had been a great success everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves.
A few comments about the beef but the wine flowed and it was said that Snow White
was seen at "Tesco Parkhead" buying clothes as she had none. So she had a good night..!

George wished Archie and his team all the best from the club when they go to Russia.
He congratulated Margaret Brown and Jackie Craig being selected for the 2011 Ladies tour to the USA and was sure they would do us proud.
George congratulated everybody in the club for the £775.00 they raised at the charity night in a couple of hours
it's a credit to you all thank you.

RESIGNATIONS - From Jillian McPherson, Barbara Cunningham, Liz Leslie, Janette Gardener, Michael Murdoch, Alison Lambie.
ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION - £20
ICE ALLOCATION - As Jim Strang is due to go off the Committee this year
George asked if there were any objections if Jim carried on as Ice Allocation Secretary. No one had any objections.
Jim felt the Dunn Medal one day competition had been a big success and would book ice for the same next season.
Ladies would like their points the same on Wednesday morning at 10am in March.
A.O.C.B. Secretary Agnes asked if there were any objections if the AGM Minutes
were printed and attached into the Minute Book as they had to be printed anyway
and e-mailed to Alan Drummie for circulation at the end of the year, this was approved.
Alan Drummie would like it verified for the constitution, as to Honorary Members voting rights.
The feeling was we didn't need to change this as they could vote, but it was the committee who were in power.
Eric Richardson Proposed that all Members of Honorary Status shall not be entitled to serve on the Committee
this was seconded by George Brown, a vote was then taken with the proposal going through unanimous.
Jim Strang thanked Alan Drummie again for the great work he had done with the web site this season.
Tom Neilson told us what a great trip him and Jean had to Vancouver for the Paralympics.
Their niece Aileen Neilson had been competing in the wheelchair curling
and how proud and humble they had felt to be there supporting them.
Every where they went they had received a great welcome, the hospitality had been tremendous a trip of a lifetime.
